Bo Stiemer (2000)
Artist, Filmmaker & Researcher
Works in Utrecht, The Netherlands & Melbourne, Australia
Bo Stiemer is a Dutch artist and researcher working with video, sound, and installation. Her site-specific practice explores wounded landscapes, and addresses themes of ecocide, colonialism, and family. As a Dutch artist, Stiemer recognises that she comes from a country with its own colonial legacy, and her practice begins from that position. She is concerned with uncovering stories that systems of oppression attempt to bury.
